As the year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on what has been an incredible 2024. We are so grateful to all our amazing customers, from those who sprinkled our petals at their weddings to everyone who supported us by choosing British-grown blooms. Congratulations to all the wonderful couples who tied the knot this year with our petals playing a small part in their big day!
Christmas Closure
The Petal Shed will officially close for Christmas on 19th December, as the team takes a well-deserved break to enjoy mince pies and wrap presents. We’ll be back on Monday, 6th January, ready to answer your queries and dispatch orders.
You can still place orders during our Christmas break, but please note they won’t be shipped until we return. Any enquiries sent during this time will also be answered when we’re back. Please bear with us, as the first few days in January are always super busy!

We were thrilled to win the Guides for Brides Customer Service Award this year. The award now sits proudly in the Petal Shed!

We also achieved the Feefo Platinum Trusted Service Award for the fourth year running. These awards are a testament to our incredible team and the wonderful feedback from our customers. Thank you for making this possible
And some exciting news to share, this week, we found out that we’re finalists for the Sustainable by Design Award in the Sustainable Alliance Wedding Awards! It’s incredible to be part of such a positive movement towards a more sustainable wedding industry. The winners will be announced in 2025, and we’re keeping everything crossed!
Events and Exhibitions

National Wedding Shows: We exhibited at both the Spring and Autumn shows at the NEC and had an absolute blast meeting so many lovely couples. Our revamped, vibrant stand drew plenty of attention, and we’re already looking forward to the March 2025 show in Birmingham, NEC!

Shrewsbury Food Festival: We joined this event in July to spread the word about Shropshire Petal Fields, connecting with the local community and sharing our passion for British-grown blooms.
Community and Celebrations

British Flowers Week: In June, we visited Newport with bundles of British blooms, gifting them to brighten people’s days. It was heart warming to see the smiles and joy our flowers brought.

Shropshire Petal Fields: In August, we opened our fields to the public for 10 days, welcoming thousands of visitors. Seeing everyone’s excitement and the incredible photos shared on social media made it such a special event. We’re hoping to bring the open days back in 2025, so stay tuned by signing up for the Shropshire Petal Fields newsletter.

Achievements and Milestones

Harvest Success: Despite challenging weather, our team’s hard work resulted in an outstanding harvest: 78,500 litres of petals for confetti and 26,400 dried flower bunches. Here’s to an even bigger harvest in 2025!

New Website Launch: We unveiled a sleek, user-friendly website this year, making it easier than ever to shop for your petals and blooms.

We've had some fantastic collaborative giveaways this year, teaming up with incredible businesses like Monty Bojangles, The Bridal Beauty Co, and The Bobby Pins, to name just a few.

Our Confetti Moment Competition launched in September and is still running until 30th December, so there’s still time to enter and win £280 worth of goodies. We're loving all the gorgeous entries so far, it's going to be hard to choose a winner.
