Here at Shropshire Petals, we grow a wide selection of flowers to make natural, biodegradable petal confetti for weddings and celebrations around the world.

Most of our petal confetti is used to celebrate newlyweds with a shower of real flower petals for weddings. Petals are also used to make petal paths down the aisle and also add a pop of colour to the decor.

Confetti that's grown, not made

We grow a variety of flowers such as delphiniums, cornflowers and calendula to name but a few, to make sure you have plenty of choice when it comes to your confetti mix.

We plant our seeds in the spring using our state of the art solar powered robots. Each robot remembers exactly where each seed is planted, and once all the planting is complete, our robots immediately start right back at the beginning weeding out any nasties.

Our robots reduce our imprint on the soil, which in turn reduces our risk of soil compaction, we're also reducing our carbon footprint as our robots run on the sun's energy.

This automated weeding saves hundreds of man hours of back breaking work, and gives our flowers the best chance of germination and growth, without having to compete with weeds. We regularly check on the flowers progress through field walks until they're blooming and ready for harvesting.

Wildlife in our flower field

Our flower fields are not only blooming beautiful, they are also a great haven for wildlife including bees! We've spotted a multitude of insects, birds, hares and even deer on our fields.

By providing a wide area for pollinators and variety of flowers we're supporting our British wildlife.

Handpicked flowers

Once our flowers have flowered, we carefully hand pick them and dry them to make gorgeous confetti that is then shipped all over the world.

Dried on our farm

Our drying process removes moisture from the petals meaning they can be stored for months or even years in some cases. Our smaller petals like delphiniums and wildflowers will keep for well over a year when stored correctly away from heat, moisture and light.

The Petal Shed

Every one of our orders is made up by hand the old fashioned way, with a measuring jug in our petal shed. You are able to pick and mix your confetti online, we mix all our petals by hand so they are ready to throw when they arrive.
