Megan's summer at SP

In today's blog our lovely summer student Megan will be giving you an insight into what she's been upto.... 

Working at Shropshire Petals this summer has encouraged me to undertake new tasks, from attending my first National Wedding Show at Olympia in London, carrying out trials on the flowers while still completing everyday tasks such as making up orders and answering the phone.

My favourite mix 

My favourite mix this summer is a combination of Raspberry Fool, Icing Sugar and Frosted Blue, the bright colours reflecting a fun filled summer, not as though we have had much hot weather this year! 

The National Wedding Show, Olympia 

Over the weekend I attended my first wedding show at Olympia in London; coming from the countryside, my first wedding show was a bit of a shock to the system - especially being in the centre of London! I had a great time meeting couples and helping them to choose the perfect confetti for their big day!

Our petals were even featured on the catwalk!

I also spent some of my summer taking part in a trial on the flowers before writing up a report to show my results, which I found extremely interesting and which helped me to see another aspect of the business.

I'm starting at Harper Adam's University later this week and hope to be back at Shropshire Petals next summer!
